Altrusa Club of Las Cruces, 1940-1979.

The Altrusa Club of Las Cruces records date from the founding of the Las Cruces club in 1940 until June 1979. There is little correspondence, except for some scrapbook letters which date from before 1964 to 1976. Financial records, mainly in the form of Treasurer's and financial reports cover the years 1940-1979. Minutes of club meetings are well maintained and complete from 1940 until 1978. Several different newsletters comprise the newsletter series. In addition to the Las Cruces club newsletter, published occasionally up until July 1967 and more regularly since, the newsletter folders also contain the Altu-News, the district Ten Service Bulletin and Altrusa International Service Bulletin. Published material from both District 10 and Altrusa International are contained in the organizational materials series. This series also contains by-laws, mailing lists, membership cards and seals, lists of officers, members and prospective members, president's manual, reports and president's workshops and yearbooks. Scrapbooks contained clippings, greeting cards, programs and letters to the club.
